NEW PRODUCT GIVES FUEL HARMONICS' FIGURES A BUNK UP!
Fuel Harmonics plc, has announced the acquisition of a new fuel saving and emission reducing product, the Fitch Fuel Management System (FFMS), to compliment its already well-established Fitch Fuel Catalyst. The new product now allows fuel that is stored for any period of time in bunkers to be treated by the same methods as fuels that are treated in-line by the Fitch Fuel Catalyst.
The Fitch Fuel Management System has a similar application to that of a Recall Filter, it filters the fuel (petrol, diesel and bio mixes) out of the tank or bunker before expressing into the end-user unit, the fuel that is expressed is then of the highest possible standard and quality.
The FFMS differs from the Recall Filter in its constitution – the FFMS uses poly-metallic alloys that reverse fuel degradation and kill diesel bugs outright. It acts like a permanent fuel additive to petrol or diesel and keeps fuel in its optimum state. The Fitch fuel catalyst ensures that the fuel consumed by an engine during its life will always be of the highest possible standard and quality.
The FFMS actually increases the Cetane rating of the fuel it treats which relates to better performance through an improved ignition quality, this in turn relates to better performance, fuel economy, lower engine out emissions, less engine noise and easier cold starting after any period of idling.
Fuel Harmonics’ director, Tim Rhodes, said: “The Fitch Fuel management System promotes the benefits of the engine specific Fitch Fuel Catalyst into the bunker and tank market. The benefits can be seen specifically in the reduction of fuel consumption by the end-user unit along with a significant reduction of output pollutants such as CO2, NO2, CO and NO and no less vital the improved reliability of fuel that has been idle.”
The FFMS is under scrutiny at Exeter University under David Maclean of MOST (Marine One Stop Technologies), with results expected to impact pending procurement contracts with the Port of London Authority favourably.
Fuel Harmonics was established in 2007 and is the UK and Ireland’s sole license holder for the Fitch Fuel Catalyst and Fitch Fuel Management System.
